So… yeah… we started interval training…

I suppose some of these comics come off as negative more than they do positive, but let’s face it, if I came out and said we started interval training, and it was like being lifted into the sky on the wings of butterflies, you would all know that I was full of crap.  This is hard work.  It’s not particularly fun, but I’m choosing to do it as I want to make a change.  Intervals suck.  They’re hard.  They make me feel like I’m going to fail when I do them, and they’re likely to be a very useful tool added to my training regimen…

…so they’re bad… but they’re very good…

…I’ll do them… but I don’t love them.

Speaking of training, just so you guys don’t think I’ve been slacking off because I’ve been too busy to write here:

5 days of heart charts

Pay particular attention to the interval training chart… managed to hit a heart rate of 171 at my peak which was…awesome?  I figure I’ll squeeze in intervals on T/Th as I’ve already got strength training on M/W/F.  It’s bike season, so I’ll probably put in some road intervals on Saturday when the terrain allows.

So… yeah… intervals tonight… hurray?
