You know… I was fine all day.  I ate as planned, ran to the grocery store to pick up a few ingredients needed for the planned supper.  It wasn’t until I got home that I just… needed to have Pizza Hut pizza for dinner.  I needed it.  Heck, I even found myself putting the roast back into the fridge and was looking for coupons before I stopped myself, and said no.  I had not planned to go off calorie today, so I wasn’t going to do it.  All it took was to actually say that to myself, and I was good to go, but sometimes this feels like I’m doing it, day by day…

Oh… did I mention that I did my upper body workout on the weight machine yesterday?  Yeah… I forgot to mention that.

So, let’s run the numbers.

Food Intake:

  • Breakfast – Oscar Mayer Turkey sammich pack – 390 calories
  • Lunch – cup of French onion soup and a half greek salad from Zoup! – 452 calories
  • Snack – 3 cashews – 51 calories
  • Dinner – Beef roast, mashed potatoes and sliced tomatoes – 900 calories
  • Evening Snack – Fudgesicle – 100 calories

1893 calories total.  Score one for the good guys.

I’m actually starting to feel that I may need to cut the calories a bit more.  I’m starting to feel bloated/too full on the 2000 calorie diet.  Then again… I may just be gassy!  I’ll have to wait until I see what Mr. Scale has to say on Monday.

Zoup! was really good for lunch.  I always enjoy a greek salad, and well… we’ve talked about me and French Onion soup.  I was pleased to see that they didn’t use a pound and a half of cheese in the stuff, so I didn’t have to pick it out.  Weird thing though… the restaurant was hot… really uncomfortable… right up until I started eating my hot soup.  Suddenly, everything seemed to cool down to a comfortable temperature.  It was nice.  Much nicer than when I walked over to the running store afterwards and the guy measured me and assured me that there wasn’t a pair of running shoes in existence made to fit my wide-ass feet.

Grrr, grr, grumble…

Dinner was great… just a simple roast, but yummy.

Exercise involved me walking all over friggin’ campus today.  It feels like I hit every building (though I’m sure I must have missed one!).  I wasn’t wearing the Garmin, though, so I can’t give a calorie count.

All in all, a good day.
