Woo Hoo!  As you know, I was on the road last monday and unable to get on the scale, so today, I stepped on for the first time in two weeks.  I was pretty sure that after all the traveling and dietary collapse that I had gained a pound or two.

Not so much… in fact…

I lost ten freakin’ pounds!!!!

Time to do another ‘Scaley Dance‘ Folks!… and come on… I want to see those legs moving!

Dieting is stressful work.

I spoke to Mom today.  She was concerned that I had slipped off of my diet (I have a history) as I skipped a few updates.  No such thing.  Just destressing a bit after the travel and couldn’t squeeze in the drawing time.  Regular readers will have noticed that this happens from time to time, but if you’re concerned or curious, just ask… though I’ll try to keep such things to a minimum.

It was a pretty busy day… Holiday BBQ meant a pork butt in the smoker.  I paid pretty close attention to it for the first couple hours while it was taking high smoke.  Afterwards, I was able to leave it on auto-pilot while I ran some errands.  When I got back, I opened up the smoker, and It. Was. Perfect.  I didn’t actually need to pull it.  I just needed to give it a stern talking to… YUMM-O.

Regardless, on the topic of food, let’s run the numbers…

Food Intake:

  • Breakfast – Peanut butter granola bar and a banana – 240 calories
  • Lunch – Burger with no sides – 950 calories
  • Dinner – Pulled pork (no cheese or bun), corn of the cob, guacamole and chips – 800 calories

1990 calories total.  Huh… I managed to actually get near 2000 calories… go figure.  We had lunch on the road (Max and Erma’s), and I opted for a burger without any sides as I was in a meaty mood (and M&E is one of the few places that will actually make a rare burger).  It was tasty… not a diet breaker.  Lots of walking, but no other formal exercise today.  Tomorrow is the upper body workout… so… see you then.
