Actually, the diet is fine, but my stomach is off… way off.  I’ve been top-of-the-stomach nauseous for about 36 hours, and I do ever so wish the feeling would go away… or hurl… or both!  It just has to stop.  I keep eating my planned food thinking that it will make me toss a few cookies, but no such luck.  I started snapping at people at work, so I think it’s starting to get to me just a little bit… ugh…

Anyways, I hit a plateau this week.  No weight gain.  No weight loss.  The strange thing is that I find it slightly liberating.  My body responded exactly as I expected it to respond.  It was only a so-so week eating- and exercise-wise, and I got a so-so result.  Makes sense to me.

I’ll have to continue to tighten up the running of this ship, of course, but for the moment, I just feel sick… so let’s run the numbers.

Food Intake:

  • Breakfast – granola, apples, yogurt – 300 calories
  • Lunch – Turkey sammich – 230 calories
  • Afternoon snack (seriously eaten just hoping it would make me yack) – Wasabi and Soy Almonds – 170 calories
  • Dinner – Chipotle-grilled chicken salad – 700 calories
  • Evening snack – Pretzel M&Ms – 340 calories

1740 calories total.  Not much to say about the food.  The salad was good.  I trimmed and sliced chicken thighs, tossed them with a bit of olive oil, garlic, chipotle seasoning, salt and pepper and let them marinate for a bit whilst I prepped the salad bed: romaine hearts, cucs and yellow and red tomatoes from the garden.  Once that was ready, I grilled up the chicken strips and all was ready.  The flavor was quite good.

I’mma go vomit now…

…probably not, but I feel like I should…
