First of all, I really did have this dream… pretty much verbatim.  Second, animal crackers?!?  Really?  I know that when I enter one of those periods where I can’t sleep and subsist on 2-4 hours a night that I get a bit delirious, but if I’m going to go to the effort to pig out on something in a dream, you’d think I’d pick something a bit more interesting.  I mean a box of vanilla wafers or something!

Regardless, let’s run the numbers…

Food Intake:

  • Breakfast – Granola bar (I know, you’re shocked and amazed…) – 150 calories
  • Lunch – Roast chicken – 260 calories
  • Afternoon snack – Whole Wheat cracker with cheese thing – 200 calories
  • Dinner – Roast pork chop with roast potatoes – 750 calories
  • Evening snack – Watermelon – 180 calories

1540 calories total.  Not bad on any day.  I’m planning on meeting a fellow cartoonist for dinner tomorrow (Thursday) night as he’s coming through town on the way to a convention, so I strongly suspect fish and chips are in my future.  I’ll manage my calories through the day so that the evening indulgence won’t be a killer.
