So, I actually had this strip in mind when I originally designed the logo, and have been waiting for the opportunity to render it as a strip to give it it’s place in the archive.  Thanks to Chris comments on the last strip (wondering how my torso has changed as I have lost the equivalent of his daughter in weight), I have a chance to use it.

Sadly, however, you are asking the wrong guy.  I look in the mirror, and I honestly don’t see any changes, but then, I see me every day… and weight loss is a slow process.  I do get the occasional inkling now and then when I glance that my chin seems slimmer or that my chestal area is returning to a more man-like conformation, but that’s all I really see… hints of change.

…and let’s face it… fat doesn’t burn off in layers.  When you’ve been sharecropping adipose as long as I have, it doesn’t so much peel off as it does… become less dense.  Yes, folks, after losing as much weight as I have, I’m actually starting to feel more jiggly not less.  Go figure.

Of course, there are the very obvious artifacts of weight loss… the constant need to buy newer, smaller close, the fact that I can’t seem to keep from punching new holes in belts.  Heck, I have a pair of pants hanging behind me that I bought because they were $11 (jeans) and almost fit back in December that are really way to big (like I can pull them up to my man nipples) to wear now.  These are good, concrete signs that things are happening, but I’m not sure it’s super-obvious at the moment.

…though I did get a comment from someone the other day that “I was really starting to show a change through here” (insert image of woman standing in front of me waving arm vaguely about my torso area), so that’s a good thing.

In any case, I’m not sure how much of a difference you’d notice, my good sir.  I guess we’ll have to meet up at the IU-PU game to find out.

The theme of Tuesday was ravenous and gnawing all day long.  Laurie came home late from work and had brought me a McCheeseburger, and though it’s not a great choice, I ate that sucker by layers with a smile on my face.  Not sure why yesterday was such a hungry day, but best to feed the beast as it only shot me over 40 calories.
Exercise:
No chart as I’m typing this up at work, but I did walk yesterday.  987 calories according to Mr. Garmin, so that certainly makes up for the extra 40 calories.  It looked like it was going to bucket rain, so I did hit up Mr. @Onyxsparrow for a ride home.  It cost me that extra 1000 calories of exercise, but did actually give me time to push out a new Slightly Off-Topic update, so that was a perk!
