The weird thing about my car rental location is that they never, ever have the car in stock that you’ve reserved.  I don’t know if this is because they make no effort to match inventory to reservations or if their clientele is just that unreliable regarding bringing things back, but I have never arrived and been presented with the car class I reserved.  On the other hand, they always seem happy to just toss me an upgrade which is how I ended up driving a 2012 Mustang convertible… which gets surprisingly good gas mileage… on the highway… in-city… not so much.

What I say in the image above is said in all seriousness, there is NO way I would have fit in the cockpit of this car a few weeks ago.  As it is, I am quite comfortable… against the hand brake, but not pressed against it.  It’s one of the little things that you’re not expecting that just kind of says.. “Good Job, keep it up!”

Foodwise, I’ve not had a great day.  Too much dependence on what’s available at hand.  So, I ducked out for an hour to scope out the neighborhood and make a better plan for the next few days.  I’ve got my breakfast and dinner locations mapped out and they all require a hike, so that’s a good thing.  Dinner tonight will just involve a salad and maybe a chicken breast, I think.
