So, I’m not really a joiner, but I did sign up for the University’s Autumn ActiveU program.

I’m just kidding in the panel above, of course, as while UMich has these health programs going on all the time, they are never, ever pushy about it.  They treat everyone with dignity, and work by the philosophy “If we make it available, they will come.”

So I came.  Actually, some of the flow core folk signed up as well, so we have started a team as well.  A bit of motivation by peer pressure if you will.

We’ll see how it goes, but for now, let’s run the numbers.

Food Intake:

  • Breakfast – 2 oz steak (leftover) and banana – 200 calories
  • Lunch – roast chicken, grapes, pretzel and cheese bits – 450 calories
  • Dinner – Polska Kielbasa with habanero, green peppers and onions and a spinach salad with tomato – 700 calories
  • Evening snack – Blueberry pie – 380 calories

1730 calories total.  The blueberry pie was amusing.  Laurie bought it for me from walmart.  It was an individual thing and looked pretty sizeable when in the box.  I figured, I’d probably only want half.  Then I took it out of the box.  It was wee.  Tiny… teeny… humorously so.  I had to wonder how they fit 380 calories in there… then I read the ingredients… but it was tasty.
