Huh… the post number matches the new ticker count… go figure….

Not only do I have my own dance pad, I modded that pad boy for better response!… and it’s not just the one pad… I have two metal pads down there, so that the girls can DDR with me…

…actually, come to think of it, that’s not really safe… I’m all legs akimbo, if you know what I mean.  Graceful, thy name is not Dave.

In any case, it’s actually quite a good workout.  Laurie has been talking about the new padless dance games (she has a thing for the music of Katy Perry that I will never fully understand), and I wonder how they compare in the heart rate/sweat department.  It doesn’t matter as I am Kinect-less, but I would be interested in hearing what any current players have to say about them.

Food’s been good, so let’s run the numbers real quick, so I can go to bed.

Food Intake:

  • Breakfast – granola bar – 160 calories
  • Morning snack – blueberry greek yogurt – 160 calories
  • Lunch – Ham sammich and rice krispy treat – 230 calories
  • Dinner – Roast chicken, twice-baked potato, salad and dreamcicle – 900 calories
  • Evening snack – Repaired Egg Nog – 300 calories

1750 calories total.

I know what you are all thinking… Repaired Egg Nog?  Well, I’ve been craving dairy lately, so it seemed like a good time to tilt at that windmill known as commercial egg nog.

Fact: All commercially-prepared egg nog sucks.  Big time.

However, you can turn it into a drinkable beverage fairly simple.  Take 8oz egg nog… thick, gooey, smell egg nog from the carton.  Add a pinch of nutmeg and a double pinch of cinnamon.  Add 8oz skim milk.  Stir…

…stir more…

I mean really, really stir.

Cover and place in fridge for about 10 minutes to let the spice blend.

Drink and enjoy.  It’s still not egg nog, but it is tasty.
