For those that are interested in such things, the article regarding the fattest cities can be found here.  That Detroit would make such a list certainly comes as now surprise.  I mean any article discussing the state of Detroit is quick to point out the dearth of grocery stores downtown and the poor public transit system which relegates most residents to the fast food fatlane.  That Detroit would come in as #1 on the list, however, was kind of a surprise.  As I said, I don’t spend a lot of time in Detroit, but I can’t say that when I do the overwhelming image is one of obvious obesity…

…then again, most everyone looks skinny compared to me.  Whatcha gonna do?

I remain firmly planted on my plateau and have decided to avoid the scale completely until January 1.  I’m tired of obsessing over the thing, and I will just keep on keeping on and will start the new year with a big weigh in.

As per food intake, I’m doing okay.  Monday’s calorie total was 1725, and yesterday was 2100 thanks to a glass of malted milk I opted to have.  I need to get into the lab, else I’d run the exact numbers, but duty calls…
